Education
Fully fund education. The state has a constitutional duty to fully fund K-12 education so the burden doesn’t continue shifting onto local property taxpayers. We owe it to both students and taxpayers to fully fund education while making sure every dollar is delivering better outcomes for kids.
Focus on results. Washington invests billions in education, yet student achievement continues to decline. We should evaluate how education dollars are being spent, identify what’s working, eliminate what isn’t, and make sure every taxpayer dollar is helping students succeed.
Prepare students for the future. Strengthen reading, writing, math, career and technical education, apprenticeships, and workforce training while preparing students for an economy increasingly shaped by technology and AI.
Support career pathways. Protect and strengthen programs like Running Start, career and technical education, apprenticeships, and trade schools so every student has the opportunity to pursue the path that’s right for them.
